SOUTH SIDE - NEWER SEEDLINGS
All of the seedlings have grown about 3" to 4" - The nice warm 80F weather really expedited that growth. Depending on temps, many on the South side will be ready for 1st cut back harvest in 2 to 3 weeks. If it gets below 60F, then it will slow this down by a few days or so.

NORTH SIDE - PLANTED 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO SOUTH SIDE
Ready for 1st harvest - YIPEE!

2/20/16 - I just added 2 of the 5 gallon & trellis buckets for peas
I have about 8 snap peas in each of the buckets
The Pink bucket, was my first go round, and used pieces and parts I had laying around.
It's much cleaner to set it up like the bright green one.
Yes, I went with some fun color netting..keep it fun!
See page on Pea & Bean Buckets for details on "how to build"
Probably will add one more bucket for beans - shortly
I'll be maxed out on space at that point - bummer!

3/2/16 - Bucket #2 of Swiss Chard - Planted on 1/29 as 3" seedlings. Nice Right?
This stuff grows fast - Be sure to include it in your gardens!.
Notice how I cut it all down to just about 2" above the soil line - It will grow back in about 3 weeks, and I'll be harvesting another crop!
I use netting to help reduce white/fly & gnat problems, along with Neem oil ...It stayed under control.
